Camogie Win -Sarah Buckley Memorial
Balllinascarthy camogie girls won the Sarah Buckley Memorial
plaque in Blarney last Saturday. In terribly wet conditions, they beat
the home team in a very competitive game. Other teams in the blitz were
Glen Rovers and St. Finbarrs. Well done to the girls on a great day out

Ballinascarthy 0-11 Carbery Rangers 0-07Bal advanced to the quarter final stage of the championship last Saturday defeating a Ross side who were strangely subdued in a second period in which Bal should have been out of sight long before the final whistle. The U14 Fooball team had a resounding win last night when they defeated Bantry in the final of the West section and now advance to the county semi-final stage of the competition. The game was evenly contested enough in the opening quarter but two goals in a minute by Padraig Cullinane and a series of points immediately after by Ciaran Nyhan, Brian O'Donovan coupled with a superb defensive performance ensured that the game was well over as a contest by the time the short whistle blew. The U-21 Fooball side will play St Finbarrs in the final on Saturday evening after the Togher based side made light work of Coucey Rovers last night (Wednesday - 9th July) in the replay of their semi-final. It will take a big performance to bring the first county football title at adult level to the village but all supporters are asked to turn out and rally behind the team on Saturday evening in Pairc Ui Rinn - 6.15pm.

Car Treasure Hunt
A presentation was made to the winner of this year's
Festival Car Treasure Hunt, Deirdre O'Flynn, last Sunday night. The John
