It was drama all the way as the U14 Football team defeated Ahinagh in the final at Pairc Ui Rinn  today. With only seconds remaining on the clock and two points down Ciaran Nyhan was fouled when bearing down on goal and was awarded a free. Despite a crowded goal he managed to find the top of the net with a blistering shot from the resultant free. Congratulations to all the panel and team mentors on a fantastic day for the club --- More details later

Our U-14 team will play the Feile (B) final on this Saturday at Pairc Ui Rinn v Ahinagh. The game is scheduled to start at 12.30pm. Note that the A final between Nemo and Glanmire will precede our match. Games are 20 minutes a half. It might be unusual to have a competition finished so early in the season but the 21 football championship was decided on Sunday last when Bal edged out Kilmeen in an exciting contest at Enniskeane. In a game which could have gone either way, Bal got off to the better start and were four points to the good following points from Cillian Cullinane and one from Daniel Nyhan.
