Bal advanced to the quarter final stage of the championship last Saturday defeating a Ross side who were strangely subdued in a second period in which Bal should have been out of sight long before the final whistle. In the final minutes points from Eoin O'Brien, Cillian Cullinane and a Ricky O'Flynn sealed a merited victory for the reds. A powerful second half display by Ricky ensured that Bal held sway in the middle of the park with the defensive unit tightening their grip on the Ross forwards who were limited to one point from a free in the second period.

Bal now play Gabriels in the quarter finals who had a fantastic win over Caheragh last weekend.
