Bal are through to the county U-21 football final after defeating Macroom yesterday in Brinny. A fantastic third quarter saw the reds lead the favourites 1-12 to 0-06. However a resurgent Macroom clocked up six points without reply in the final quarter but thankfully they never registered the necessary goal which would have tied the scores thanks to a resolute defensive display and a series of brilliant saves by custodian Ger Kirby who kept a clean sheet. It was overall a great team display with some excellent individual displays from Cillian Cullinane, Aidan O'Donovan and Cathal Nyhan until his substitution early in the second half following an injury at the latter stages of the opening moiety.
