Ballinascarthy Lotto Committee

24 January 2023

Firstly, we wish you and your family a Happy New Year. To our existing lotto participants, we sincerely thank you for your support in 2022 and to any new participants this Is an opportunity to support our club in 2023. This letter outlines our funding requirements for 2023 and options on how you can support the club via our lotto draws which are a vital part of fund raising to facilitate the on-going development of all the teams in our GAA and camogie clubs.

To support our players at County and Club level requires fund raising. The Rebels Bounty draw supports our county teams, and our Club Lotto income goes to running our Club and maintain the Clubs facilities.  The past year has seen further improvements to the grounds at Henry Ford Park with an extensive sanding program to enhance drainage and soil condition. The new concrete pedestrian walkway including high quality fencing on all sides has proved a great amenity with a walkway around the entire perimeter of the pitch and linking with local walking trails developed in recent times. The GAA Gym facilities with its variety of modern equipment facilitates year-round toning exercises and training .

2022 was a successful year for our GAA and camogie Clubs. The arrival of well-earned trophies brings great satisfaction to the teams involved and our supporters. Seeing players like Dan Twomey, Timothy Cullinane and Millie Condon doing so well in our county colours is also a proud achievement for the community we are all part of.

Similar to prior years there are a number of options to participate in the Lotto for 2023;

1. Join the Rebel Bounty Draw as a Ballinascarthy participant and the internal Ballinascarthy Lotto for a total of €190 (€100 Rebel Bounty €90 Bal Lotto). If you choose this option, you will have two annual subscriptions to the Bal Lotto so in effect you are in three draws for the price of two.

2. Join the Bal Lotto for and annual subscription of €90.

3. Join the Rebel Bounty as a Ballinascarthy participant for €100.

The rebel bounty is a draw run by the Cork County Board with annual prizes of €500,000 based on twelve monthly draws throughout the year. The Bal Lotto is drawn every week on Monday nights and in this draw are the names of annual subscriptions plus the weekly tickets sold by our lotto team, online sales, the village shop and local pubs. The currently lotto jackpot is over €11,000 and there are five lucky dips of €30 if main lotto is not won.

The details required for both the Bal Lotto and the Rebels Bounty Draws are in the attached application form and please note the closing dates for each of the draws.

Yours sincerely
