Congratulations to Ciaran Deasy who was voted Club person of the Year for 2020. Ciaran has been a prominent player for the club down through the years and always lends a hand on and off the pitch. With 17 years of playing service and counting, Ciaran was a member of the successful West Cork Junior A hurling campaign of 2019.

While 2020 was a challenging year for all, Ciaran took the initiative to explore how the club could help others in the wider community and thus receives this accolade as recognition for organising the club’s junior hurling and football panels to run 121 miles for the 121 beds of Clonakilty Community Hospital, raising €6,000 in total. 

Here Ciaran is accepting the Mike Ahern Trophy from Kay Russell.
