A huge thanks to all those from the club who helped in the running of both events yesterday. It was a great success and thanks to all who gave so generously for the school fundraiser.

It was very appropriate that both events ran together as the Puc Fada trophy is dedicated to the memory of Con (Corney) Daly of Carrig Ballinascarthy who went to school in Clogagh and was

a member of the Clogagh company in the War of Independence. He lost his life at the Crossbarry ambush on 19th March 1921 at just 22 years of age along with two other volunteers and also Charlie Hurley who was killed earlier that day.
